# ✦ ─ Punishment Guidelines

Coppercore SMP uses a set of **punishment guidelines** to help keep moderation consistent across the server.

These guidelines outline the usual actions taken for different rule violations and how punishments may increase for repeated offences.

#### Public Punishment Guidelines

You can view our current public punishment guidelines here:

**Please note:** These are guidelines, not guaranteed punishment amounts. Staff may issue a lighter or more severe punishment depending on the circumstances of an incident.
{% endhint %}

Factors such as the **severity of the offence, previous violations, intent, impact on other players, and attempts to evade moderation** may affect the final action taken.

If you believe a punishment was issued incorrectly, please use the appropriate **appeal process** via a Discord ticket rather than arguing the punishment with staff in-game.

Staff have access to additional internal moderation guidance which is not included in the public version.
