# ✦ ─ Allowed & Disallowed Mods

Client-side mods are allowed on Coppercore as long as they do not give an unfair advantage, automate gameplay, bypass server restrictions, or reveal information players would not normally have.

This page gives examples, but it is not an exhaustive list. When unsure, ask staff before using a mod.

***

### Generally Allowed Mods

The following types of mods are usually allowed:

* performance mods such as Sodium, Lithium, Optifine and similar optimisation tools
* visual improvements that do not reveal hidden information
* minimaps that do not show caves, entities, players, or hidden structures
* inventory organisation and sorting tools
* cosmetic mods
* shaders
* durability and armour HUDs
* mods that display information already visible in normal gameplay
* Fullbright, Dynamic Lighting and other lighting related mods.

Examples may include:

* Sodium
* Lithium
* Iris
* OptiFine
* AppleSkin
* Mouse Tweaks
* BetterF3
* Litematica, with restrictions

***

### Allowed With Restrictions

Some mods are allowed only when certain features are disabled.

#### Minimap Mods

Minimaps may be used for navigation, but features that reveal hidden or private information must be disabled.

Do not use:

* cave maps
* entity radar
* player radar
* mob radar
* underground structure detection
* hidden base markers created using information you should not have.

#### Litematica and Schematics

Litematica may be used to view build guides and schematics.

Do not use features that:

* place blocks automatically (Easy Place)
* print builds without normal player input
* bypass reach or movement restrictions
* automate material placement.

#### Freecam and Replay Tools

Replay and camera mods may be used for recording, screenshots, and cinematics.

They must not be used to:

* look through walls
* locate hidden bases
* inspect private builds
* scout caves or structures
* bypass spectator restrictions
* gain information unavailable from your normal position.

***

### Disallowed Mods

The following types of mods are not allowed because they reveal hidden information, automate gameplay, or give players an unfair advantage.

#### World and Resource Scanning Mods

Mods that scan or analyse the world to locate things players would not normally be able to find are prohibited.

This includes mods that can locate:

* ores
* ancient debris
* structures
* spawners
* chests
* trial chambers
* slime chunks
* hidden bases
* underground caves or tunnels

Seed-cracking and seed-mapping tools are also not allowed.

#### Entity and Player Radar

Mods that display nearby players, mobs, villagers, item entities, or other entities outside normal view are prohibited.

This includes entity radar features built into minimaps, HUDs, or client utilities.

#### Automated Building and Placement Mods

Mods that automatically place, break, or interact with blocks are not allowed.

This includes:

* Litematica printer & easy place
* automatic scaffold placement
* automated schematic building
* automatic farming or harvesting
* automatic mining
* automatic tree chopping
* mods that complete repetitive building actions without normal player input.

Litematica’s visual schematic features are allowed, but printer and easy place are not.

#### Inventory and Container Assistance

Inventory sorting and organisation mods are allowed, but mods that perform actions automatically or bypass normal restrictions are not.

Examples include mods that:

* automatically move items between containers
* automatically restock tools, food, blocks, or totems
* automatically equip armour
* automatically deposit or withdraw items
* interact with inventories while the player is performing actions where this would normally be restricted

#### Automated Trading and Interaction

Mods that automate villager trading, shop use, crafting, fishing, or other repeated interactions are prohibited.

This includes tools that:

* repeatedly complete trades
* automatically reroll villager trades
* automatically craft items
* automatically buy or sell through shops
* automatically fish
* repeat right-click or left-click actions without player input

#### Movement and Camera Mods

Mods that alter movement, bypass restrictions, or allow scouting beyond the player’s normal position are prohibited.

This includes:

* freecam used for exploration or locating hidden areas
* flight or speed modifications
* movement automation
* pathfinding bots
* automatic walking
* tools that navigate the player to coordinates or resources

#### Information Overlays

Mods may display information already available through normal gameplay, but overlays that reveal hidden or otherwise unavailable information are not allowed.

Examples include:

* hidden durability or inventory information about other players
* container contents without opening them
* hidden block data
* player locations not shared publicly
* staff vanish detection.

### Texture Packs and Resource Packs

Normal texture packs are allowed.

Resource packs designed to make ores, containers, entities, or hidden blocks easier to locate are not allowed.

This includes:

* transparent block textures
* highlighted ores through terrain
* invisible terrain
* chest or spawner finders
* packs designed to expose caves or underground structures

### Allowed and Disallowed Clients

Using a custom Minecraft client is not automatically against the rules. What matters is which features the client includes and whether those features give an unfair advantage.

#### Generally Allowed Clients

The following types of clients are usually allowed:

* the official Minecraft launcher
* Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, or Quilt installations using permitted mods
* performance-focused clients
* cosmetic clients
* clients used for recording, shaders, optimisation, or accessibility
* clients that only bundle features already allowed under these rules

Examples may include:

* Lunar Client
* Badlion Client
* Feather Client
* Modrinth App profiles
* Prism Launcher instances
* Fabric or Forge modpacks made up entirely of permitted mods

Being listed here does not mean every feature inside the client is automatically allowed. Restricted modules must still remain disabled.

#### Clients Allowed With Restrictions

Some clients include both harmless features and features that are not permitted on Coppercore.

You may use these clients **only if all prohibited modules are disabled**, including:

* entity or player radar
* cave maps
* freecam used for scouting
* macros
* auto-clickers
* automatic tool switching or restocking
* movement assistance
* hidden-information overlays
* schematic printer features
* any other automation or unfair advantage.

You are responsible for checking your own client settings before joining.

#### Disallowed Clients

Clients primarily designed for cheating, bypassing server restrictions, or providing unfair advantages are not allowed.

This includes hacked clients and utility clients containing features such as:

* X-ray
* combat automation
* movement hacks
* world scanning
* packet manipulation
* anti-cheat bypasses
* exploit modules
* automated gameplay
* hidden player or entity information

Examples include clients such as:

* Wurst
* Meteor
* Impact
* Aristois
* Future
* RusherHack
* LiquidBounce
* Sigma
* Vape
* other clients primarily built around cheat modules

This list is not exhaustive. Renaming, modifying, or hiding a prohibited client does not make it acceptable.

### Responsibility for Client Features

Players are responsible for every feature enabled through their client.

Saying that a module was enabled by default, activated accidentally, or included in a client pack will not normally excuse its use.

Before joining Coppercore:

1. review the client’s installed modules
2. disable anything prohibited
3. remove any client you are unsure about
4. ask staff before using questionable features

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:** An allowed client can still be used in a disallowed way. Approval applies to the features being used, not the client’s name alone.
{% endhint %}

### Accessibility Tools

Accessibility tools may be allowed when they help a player use the game without automating gameplay or creating an unfair advantage.

Players who require a tool that might normally fall into a restricted category should open a ticket and ask staff before using it.

Staff will review these requests individually.

### Unsure About a Mod?

Open a support ticket and provide:

* the mod name
* a link to its official page
* what features you plan to use
* screenshots or settings, if relevant

Do not rely on another player saying a mod is allowed.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:** A mod being client-side does not automatically make it permitted. The deciding factor is whether it gives an unfair advantage or bypasses normal gameplay.
