# ✦ ── Accounts & Alt Accounts

Each player is responsible for their own Minecraft and Discord accounts, including anything done through them.

Alternate accounts are allowed in limited circumstances, but they must be approved first and cannot be used to gain unfair advantages.

### What Alts Can Be Used For

Approved alts may be used for things like:

* AFK farms
* basic teleport access
* helping manage personal builds
* other harmless uses approved by staff

Alt accounts may have fewer permissions or features than a main account.

### What Alts Cannot Be Used For

Do not use an alt account to:

* claim extra vote rewards
* complete quests more than once
* gain extra crate keys, daily rewards, or event rewards
* bypass job limits, cooldowns, or progression systems
* increase storage, homes, claims, or warps unfairly
* evade punishments
* spy on players or staff while hiding your identity
* interfere with events or competitions
* bypass any other server restriction

Anything earned through alt abuse may be removed.

### Ban and Punishment Evasion

Using another account, VPN, proxy, or someone else’s account to avoid a punishment is not allowed.

Punishment evasion may result in the alternate account being banned and the original punishment being extended.

### Account Responsibility

You are responsible for everything that happens on your account.

Claims such as:

* “My sibling did it”
* “My friend was using my account”
* “Someone else had access”
* “I left my game open”

will not normally be accepted as a defence for rule-breaking.

Keep your login details private and secure.

### Shared Connections

Multiple players may sometimes connect from the same household, school, workplace, or shared network.

This is not automatically treated as alt usage, but staff may ask for clarification if several accounts share the same connection.

Do not attempt to hide account relationships from staff.

### Account Security

Never share your Minecraft, Microsoft, Discord, or server account details with another person.

Coppercore staff will never ask for:

* your password
* login codes
* recovery codes
* payment details
* access to your email or Microsoft account

Report suspicious messages or impersonation attempts through a support ticket.

### Username Changes

Changing your Minecraft username does not create a new account.

Your progress, permissions, claims, and Discord link are generally connected to your account UUID, so they should remain after a name change.

### Discord Accounts

Players should use their own Discord account when joining the Coppercore community.

Do not use throwaway accounts to bypass verification, moderation, bans, or ticket restrictions.
