By playing on Coppercore SMP, you agree to follow all server rules. These rules are in place to keep the server fair, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.

This page provides a quick summary of the main rules. Each section has its own page with more detailed explanations, examples, and guidance.

### Respect Other Players

Treat players and staff with respect.

Harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, excessive toxicity, unwanted PvP, and deliberately upsetting or provoking others are not allowed. Swearing is permitted within reason, but it must not be used to attack or insult people.

Controversial discussions involving politics, religion, or current world events should be kept away from public server spaces.

### Respect Claims and Property

Do not grief, steal, trap, or interfere with another player’s builds, items, farms, animals, containers, or belongings.

Do not build or claim within **200 blocks** of another player’s claim or established build without their permission. Use the server map to help check the surrounding area before settling.

Unclaimed builds are still protected by the rules.

### Accounts and Alternate Accounts

Each player may use **one approved alternate account**.

Alt accounts must be approved through a support ticket before use and may not be used to gain extra rewards, bypass progression, avoid punishments, or abuse server systems.

You are responsible for everything that happens on your account.

### No Cheating or Exploiting

Hacked clients, X-ray, macros, auto-clickers, duplication glitches, exploits, and any other unfair advantage are prohibited.

Bugs and exploits should be reported to staff rather than used or shared.

### PvP Requires Consent

PvP is only allowed when everyone involved has clearly agreed to it.

Do not attack players without permission, create teleport traps, repeatedly target someone, or trick players into dangerous situations.

### Respect Staff Decisions

Staff members are volunteers working to keep the server safe and enjoyable.

Follow reasonable staff instructions and remain respectful when discussing moderation. If you disagree with a punishment or staff decision, open a ticket rather than arguing publicly.

Staff impersonation and deliberately wasting staff time are not allowed.

### Chat and Advertising

Do not spam, flood chat, excessively use capitals, advertise other servers or communities, or share inappropriate content.

Usernames, skins, signs, books, item names, builds, and other visible content must remain suitable for the community.

### Build Responsibly

Do not create lag machines, disruptive redstone, offensive structures, excessive entity farms, or builds designed to harm players or server performance.

Staff may ask for a build or farm to be changed if it causes performance problems.

### Store Purchases

All purchases are final.

Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in permanent removal from the server. Store purchases do not exempt anyone from the rules.

### Use Common Sense

The rules cannot list every possible situation.

Do not exploit loopholes, deliberately test the limits of the rules, or engage in behaviour that clearly harms the server or community. Staff may take action even when a specific behaviour is not written word-for-word.
