# ✦ ── Safari Nets

**Safari Nets** provide a convenient way to capture and transport mobs around Coppercore.

Instead of trying to drag an animal several thousand blocks with a lead, boat, minecart and rapidly deteriorating mental state, a Safari Net allows you to temporarily store a supported mob and release it somewhere else.

Safari Nets can also be used with spawners for a selected group of permitted mobs.

***

### Capturing a Mob

To capture a mob, interact with it while holding an empty Safari Net.

If the mob is supported, it will be stored inside the net.

The filled Safari Net can then be carried in your inventory until you're ready to release the mob again.

This makes Safari Nets particularly useful when moving mobs over large distances or through difficult terrain.

***

### Releasing a Mob

When you're ready to release the captured mob, use the filled Safari Net at the location where you want the mob to appear.

The mob stored inside the net will be released back into the world.

**Tip:** Make sure you're standing somewhere suitable before releasing a mob. A dolphin in the middle of your living room may technically be a decorating decision, but probably not a good one.
{% endhint %}

### Safari Nets & Spawners

Certain captured mobs can be used to change the mob type of a placed spawner.

To do this, use the filled Safari Net on the spawner.

If that mob is permitted for spawner conversion, the spawner can be changed to the corresponding mob type. SafariNet supports this as a separate permission-controlled feature from ordinary mob capture and release.

Not every captured mob can be used this way.

### Supported Spawner Changes

The following mobs are currently permitted for Safari Net spawner changes on Coppercore:

* Rabbit
* Bee
* Fox
* Axolotl
* Armadillo
* Camel
* Donkey
* Horse
* Cat
* Bat
* Dolphin
* Mooshroom
* Ocelot
* Parrot
* Wolf
* Frog
* Tropical Fish
* Silverfish
* Strider

These are the mobs specifically enabled for Safari Net spawner conversion.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:** If a mob is not on this list, capturing it in a Safari Net does not give you permission to turn a spawner into that mob type.
{% endhint %}

### Why Is Spawner Changing Restricted?

Safari Nets are useful for transporting mobs, but unrestricted spawner conversion would make it extremely easy to create powerful or unintended mob farms.

Coppercore therefore allows Safari Net spawner changes only for a selected group of mobs.

This keeps the transportation side of Safari Nets useful without turning every captured creature into an unlimited source of its corresponding spawner.

***

### Safari Nets vs Spawn Eggs

Safari Nets and Spawn Eggs both have the ability to interact with Coppercore's spawner system, but they have **separate restrictions**.

A mob being permitted through one method does not necessarily mean it is permitted through the other.

For information about Spawn Egg conversion and restricted spawner types, see the **Spawners** guide.

***

### Rare Spawners

Spawner conversion restrictions do not necessarily mean a particular spawner type can never exist.

Some otherwise restricted spawners may still appear through crates, events or other special server rewards.

Safari Net restrictions specifically control which captured mobs can be used to **convert an existing spawner**.

***

### Moving Mobs

Safari Nets are particularly useful for moving mobs which would otherwise be inconvenient to transport.

They can help with things such as:

* Moving animals to a base
* Relocating pets or farm mobs
* Transporting mobs across difficult terrain
* Moving mobs between distant builds
* Setting up animal areas or decorative enclosures
* Avoiding a 4,000-block journey involving a lead and several existential crises

They are intended to make mob transportation more convenient rather than replace the mobs themselves.

***

#### **Peaceful Difficulty**

SafariNets may display a red **“Disabled in Peaceful”** tooltip while in a Peaceful world. This is a vanilla Minecraft tooltip caused by the spawn egg item SafariNet uses internally and does **not** mean the SafariNet itself is disabled.

SafariNets will continue to work normally unless the world has been explicitly blocked by the server.

### Quick Guide

| **Action**                                          | **Available?** |
| --------------------------------------------------- | -------------- |
| Capture supported mobs                              | Yes            |
| Carry a captured mob in a Safari Net                | Yes            |
| Release a captured mob elsewhere                    | Yes            |
| Use any captured mob to change a spawner | No |
| Use specifically permitted mobs to change a spawner | Yes |
| Assume capturable means spawner-compatible          | No             |

{% hint style="info" %}
**Final reminder:** Safari Nets can be used to capture and transport supported mobs, but only selected mob types can be used for spawner conversion. Check the supported list before using a filled Safari Net on a spawner.
