# ✦ ── Head Database

Coppercore provides access to the **Head Database**, a huge collection of custom textured heads which can be used to add extra detail to builds.

Despite being technically player heads, these aren't limited to people's Minecraft skins. Custom heads can represent everything from food and plants to furniture, blocks, objects and tiny decorative details.

### Opening the Head Database

To open the Head Database, use:

`/hdb`

This opens the main Head Database menu, where you can browse the available decorative heads.

Heads are organised into categories to make finding what you're looking for easier.

***

### Searching for Heads

If you already know roughly what you're looking for, you can search the database directly with:

`/hdb search <term>`

For example:

`/hdb search apple`

or:

`/hdb search lantern`

This opens results related to your search instead of requiring you to browse through the entire database.

**Tip:** Try different search terms if you can't find what you're looking for. A head may be listed under a slightly different name or description.
{% endhint %}

### What Can Heads Be Used For?

Decorative heads are particularly useful for adding small details which would otherwise be difficult or impossible to create at Minecraft's normal block scale.

They can be used for things such as:

* Food and drink displays
* Plants and flowers
* Furniture details
* Shelves and storage decorations
* Shop displays
* Kitchen decorations
* Signs and counters
* Small objects and clutter
* Themed builds
* Extremely specific tiny bullshit your build apparently cannot survive without

Once you've found a head you like, it can be used as a decorative block just like other player heads.

### Finding the Right Head

The database contains a large number of designs, so searching is often much faster than manually browsing when you want something specific.

For example, if you're decorating a kitchen, you might search for terms relating to food, plates, drinks or appliances.

If you're decorating a garden, try searching for individual plants, flowers or other natural objects.

Sometimes the objectively correct decorating strategy is simply typing increasingly desperate words into `/hdb search` until the perfect object appears.

### Using Decorative Heads

Once you have a decorative head, place it wherever you want it in your build.

Heads can be positioned on top of blocks or attached to the sides of suitable blocks, making them especially useful for smaller decorative details.

You can also combine them with:

* Armor stands
* Signs
* Item frames
* Trapdoors
* Slabs and stairs
* Other decorative blocks

to create more detailed furniture and displays.

**Tip:** The **Armor Stand Editor** can be especially useful alongside decorative heads when creating detailed scenes or displays.
{% endhint %}

### Breaking & Moving Heads

Placed decorative heads can be broken and moved like normal head blocks.

If you're experimenting with a build, you don't need to treat every placement as permanent.

Just make sure you actually pick the head back up before wandering off and forgetting about it.

***

### Heads Are Decorative

Head Database items are intended primarily for **building and decoration**.

They don't provide special abilities or additional gameplay effects simply because they use a custom texture.

Their purpose is to give builders a much larger selection of small decorative objects than vanilla Minecraft provides.

### Quick Command Guide

| Command              | What It Does                           |
| -------------------- | -------------------------------------- |
| `/hdb`               | Open the Head Database                 |
| `/hdb search <term>` | Search the database for matching heads |

{% hint style="info" %}
**Final reminder:** Use `/hdb` to browse decorative heads or `/hdb search <term>` when you're looking for something specific. There is almost certainly a tiny cube for whatever decoration you require.
