# ✦ ── GSit

Coppercore uses **GSit** to add a handful of extra sitting, laying and posing options for players.

Whether you're hanging out at somebody's base, taking screenshots or simply feel that standing upright is far too much effort, GSit gives you a few more ways to exist dramatically on the floor.

***

### Sitting

To sit wherever you're currently standing, use:

`/sit`

This places your character into a sitting position.

You can use it on ordinary blocks, allowing you to sit somewhere even when there isn't a normal Minecraft seat available.

***

### Sitting on Seats

Certain blocks such as stairs, slabs and carpets can also act as seats.

Where supported, simply **right-click the seat** to sit on it.

This makes stairs particularly useful for creating functional chairs, benches, sofas and other seating areas without needing any additional commands.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Tip:** If you prefer not to automatically sit when interacting with supported blocks, use `/sit toggle` to toggle click-to-sit interactions.
{% endhint %}

***

### Laying Down

To lie down, use:

`/lay`

This places your character into a laying pose on the block beneath you.

Useful for beds, beaches, carpets, questionable naps in the middle of the road, or simply being extremely tired.

***

### Belly Flopping

For a face-down pose, use:

`/bellyflop`

This places your character flat against the ground.

Why?

Because apparently `/lay` wasn't dramatic enough.

***

### Crawling

To enter a crawling position, use:

`/crawl`

You can move around while crawling, making it useful both for messing around and for navigating spaces where the crawling pose is useful.

Use the command again or leave the crawling state normally when you're finished.

***

### Spinning

To become a serious and respectable member of the Coppercore community, use:

`/spin`

Your character will enter a spinning pose.

There is no sensible justification for this feature.

We have enabled it anyway.

***

### Leaving a Pose

GSit poses are not permanent.

Moving, sneaking or otherwise leaving the pose normally will return your character to regular movement.

***

### Using GSit in Builds

GSit works especially well with detailed builds designed for players to actually use.

Some examples include:

* Chairs and sofas
* Benches
* Taverns
* Restaurants
* Campfires
* Parks
* Beaches
* Cinemas and theatres
* Meeting areas
* Screenshot locations
* Places specifically constructed for lying dramatically on the floor

Combined with decorative systems such as the **Head Database** and **Armor Stand Editor**, it can help make social and decorative areas feel considerably more interactive.

### Quick Command Guide

| Command      | What It Does            |
| ------------ | ----------------------- |
| `/sit`       | Sit down                |
| `/lay`       | Lie down                |
| `/bellyflop` | Lie face-down           |
| `/crawl`     | Enter the crawling pose |
| `/spin`      | Spin                    |

{% hint style="info" %}
**Final reminder:** Use `/sit`, `/lay`, `/bellyflop`, `/crawl` or `/spin` whenever standing normally becomes unbearably conventional.
