# ✦ ── FoodCreft

Coppercore uses **FoodCreft** to add a large collection of additional craftable foods and drinks to survival.

These give farming and cooking a little more variety beyond repeatedly surviving on stacks of the same three foods until the end of time.

FoodCreft uses ordinary Minecraft ingredients and crafting, and does not require a resource pack or client-side mod.

***

#### Browsing FoodCreft

To browse the available foods and drinks, use:

`/foodcreft`

This opens the FoodCreft menu.

From here, you can browse the different items available and view the recipes needed to make them.

This means you don't need to memorise every recipe or repeatedly consult the wiki whenever you decide you desperately require a snack.

***

#### Viewing Recipes

Select an item inside the `/foodcreft` menu to view its crafting recipe.

The recipe display shows the ingredients and crafting layout required for that particular food or drink.

Once you've found something you want to make, gather the required ingredients and use a normal **Crafting Table**.

FoodCreft recipes work alongside vanilla Minecraft recipes rather than replacing them.

***

#### Crafting Food

The general process is:

1. Open `/foodcreft`.
2. Browse the available foods and drinks.
3. Select something to view its recipe.
4. Gather the required ingredients.
5. Craft it using a normal Crafting Table.
6. Consume your creation.

No special cooking machine or custom workstation is required.

***

#### Eating FoodCreft Items

FoodCreft items can be consumed just like normal food.

Hold the item and **right-click** to eat or drink it.

Different items provide different amounts of food, and some may have additional effects depending on the recipe.

You can use the `/foodcreft` menu to browse what's currently available and decide what you want to make.

***

#### No Resource Pack Required

FoodCreft does **not** require a resource pack or any additional downloads.

Its custom foods use player heads for their appearance, meaning everybody can see and use the items with a normal Minecraft client.

You do not need to install anything before using FoodCreft.

***

#### What Can You Make?

FoodCreft adds a large selection of additional foods and drinks rather than just a handful of recipes.

Instead of listing every single one here and turning this page into an unnecessarily large cookbook, use:

`/foodcreft`

The in-game menu is the easiest way to see the current selection and the recipes required to make each item.

It also means the menu will always remain the most accurate reference if foods are added or changed later.

***

#### Farming & Cooking

FoodCreft gives common farming ingredients more things to be used for and provides another reason to grow a wider variety of crops.

It may be particularly useful for players who enjoy:

* Farming
* Cooking
* Collecting different foods
* Running cafés or restaurants
* Taverns and inns
* Food stalls and markets
* Roleplay

FoodCreft is completely optional.

If you would rather continue eating steak forever, nothing is stopping you.

***

#### Using Food in Builds

FoodCreft items can also be useful for decorative or roleplay builds.

They work especially well in places such as:

* Kitchens
* Cafés
* Restaurants
* Bakeries
* Taverns
* Markets
* Dining areas
* Food stalls
* Roleplay builds

Combined with systems such as the **Head Database**, **Armor Stand Editor** and **GSit**, they can help make these areas feel much more lived-in.
