# ✦ ── Armor Stand Editor

Coppercore includes an **Armor Stand Editor**, giving builders much greater control over armor stands than vanilla Minecraft normally allows.

Armor stands can be posed, moved, rotated, resized and customised for detailed builds, displays, characters and decorative scenes without needing complicated commands.

***

### Opening the Editor

The Armor Stand Editor uses a normal **Flint** as its editing tool.

To open the editor:

1. Hold a **Flint** in your main hand.
2. Look away from any armor stands.
3. **Left-click or right-click in the air**.
4. The **Armor Stand Editor Menu** will open.

From the menu, choose what you want the Flint to edit.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:** You do not open the menu by clicking the armor stand itself. Click away from the armor stand first to select an editing mode.
{% endhint %}

***

### Editing an Armor Stand

Once you have selected a mode from the menu, use the Flint on the armor stand you want to edit.

**Left-click** applies the selected adjustment in one direction.

**Right-click** applies the adjustment in reverse.

This makes it easy to gradually move, rotate or pose different parts of the stand until they are positioned how you want them.

***

### Posing Armor Stands

Individual body parts can be adjusted separately.

The editor includes controls for:

* Head
* Body
* Left Arm
* Right Arm
* Left Leg
* Right Leg

Each part can be rotated along the **X, Y and Z axes**.

This allows armor stands to be posed far beyond their normal static appearance.

***

### Fine & Coarse Adjustments

The editor provides two adjustment speeds.

**Coarse Adjustment** makes larger changes and is useful for quickly getting a pose close to where you want it.

**Fine Adjustment** makes much smaller changes for precise positioning.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Tip:** You can also crouch and use your scroll wheel while holding the Flint to change the selected axis without reopening the menu.
{% endhint %}

***

### Moving & Rotating

Armor stands can be repositioned and rotated as complete objects.

The **Placement** mode allows the entire armor stand to be moved, while **Rotate** changes the direction the stand is facing.

This is particularly useful when lining armor stands up with furniture, counters, other stands or small decorative details.

***

### Equipment

The editor includes an **Equipment** menu for managing the items displayed by an armor stand.

Supported slots include:

* Helmet
* Chestplate
* Leggings
* Boots
* Right Hand
* Left Hand

This makes it easier to create mannequins, characters and detailed displays.

***

### Arms, Baseplates & Gravity

Several normal armor stand properties can also be changed through the editor.

Available controls include:

* Show or hide arms
* Show or hide the baseplate
* Toggle gravity
* Lock or unlock equipment slots
* Change vulnerability
* Reset the armor stand's pose

These settings give builders considerably more freedom when creating decorative stands.

***

### Armor Stand Size

Armor stands can also be resized.

Coppercore's current configuration allows armor stand scaling between:

**0.1x and 10x**

The editor includes preset sizes as well as smaller fine and coarse adjustments.

This can be useful for creating anything from tiny decorative figures to significantly larger displays.

***

### Preset Poses

The editor includes several ready-made poses which can be applied without manually adjusting every body part.

Available presets include poses such as:

* Sitting
* Waving
* Greetings
* Archer
* Dancing
* Cheers
* Hanging
* Present
* Fishing

These can provide a useful starting point before making your own adjustments.

***

### Targeting a Specific Armor Stand

If several armor stands are close together and you're struggling to edit the correct one, the editor includes a targeting feature.

While holding the Flint, press your **Swap Item in Hands** key - `F` by default - while looking at the armor stand you want to target.

This helps prevent nearby armor stands from getting in the way while you're editing.

***

### Decorative Heads

Armor stands work particularly well alongside items from the **Head Database**.

Custom heads can be used as props and small decorative objects when creating scenes such as:

* Shops
* Kitchens
* Taverns
* Furniture
* Characters
* Statues
* Seasonal displays
* Completely unreasonable amounts of tiny decorative stuff

As is tradition.

***

### Building With Armor Stands

Armor stands are entities rather than ordinary blocks, so avoid using excessive numbers where normal blocks would achieve the same effect.

A smaller number of carefully positioned armor stands can add a huge amount of detail without filling an area with unnecessary entities.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Tip:** Armor stands are best used where their posing and precise positioning actually add something to the build.
{% endhint %}
