## Glossary

### Ability

A general term for a special mechanic provided by an mcMMO skill.

Abilities can be active, passive, chance-based or unlocked through specific ranks.

### Active Ability

An ability which requires some form of player activation rather than functioning automatically.

mcMMO's main timed Active Abilities are generally referred to as **Super Abilities**.

### Arcane Forging

A Repair Sub-Skill which gives enchanted items a chance to keep their enchantments when repaired using an mcMMO Anvil.

Enchantments can still be downgraded or lost.

### Arcane Salvage

A Salvage Sub-Skill which gives enchantments on salvaged equipment a chance to be recovered onto an Enchanted Book.

Extraction is not guaranteed.

### Child Skill

A skill whose level is calculated from other skills rather than having its own independent XP progression.

Coppercore has two Child Skills:

**Salvage**

`(Repair + Fishing) ÷ 2`

**Smelting**

`(Mining + Repair) ÷ 2`

### Cooldown

The period after using a Super Ability before it can be activated again.

Most Coppercore Super Abilities have a **4-minute cooldown**, while Blast Mining has a **1-minute cooldown**.

Use:

`/mccooldown`

to check your current cooldowns.

### Copper Coins

Coppercore's custom server currency used in `/coinshop`.

Copper Coins can be used for various server rewards, including direct mcMMO XP Boost purchases.

They are completely separate from mcMMO Credits.

### mcMMO Credits

A separate progression resource which can be redeemed directly into supported mcMMO skills.

On Coppercore:

**1 mcMMO Credit = 1 Skill Level**

Use `/mr` to manage them.

### mcMMO Anvil

The special block used by mcMMO's Repair skill.

On Coppercore, the mcMMO Anvil is an:

**Iron Block**

It is completely separate from a normal Minecraft Anvil.

### mcMMO XP

The experience used to level individual mcMMO skills.

mcMMO XP is separate from normal Minecraft experience levels.

For example, Mining XP increases Mining while Alchemy XP increases Alchemy.

### Passive Ability

An ability which works automatically when its conditions are met.

Examples include:

* Mining Double Drops
* Archery Skill Shot
* Acrobatics Dodge
* Taming Gore
* Smelting Fuel Efficiency

Passive abilities do not need to be manually prepared.

### Party

A player-created mcMMO group with its own progression and unlockable cooperative features.

Party progression is separate from individual skill progression.

### Party XP

The progression used to increase an mcMMO Party's level.

Party XP is earned as Party members gain individual mcMMO XP.

It should not be confused with XP Sharing.

### Power Level

A representation of your overall mcMMO progression.

Power Level is calculated from the combined levels of your normal mcMMO skills.

Child Skills do not independently add additional Power Levels.

### PvE

**Player versus Environment.**

Usually refers to fighting mobs or interacting with non-player threats.

### PvP

**Player versus Player.**

Usually refers to combat between players.

Some mcMMO mechanics, such as Limit Break, are configured differently between PvE and PvP.

### Rank

A specific progression stage within a Sub-Skill.

Some abilities improve continuously with every skill level, while others unlock stronger Ranks at particular levels.

For example, Limit Break has 10 Ranks.

### Ready State

The short period after preparing a Super Ability but before actually activating it.

For most Super Abilities, right-clicking with the appropriate item places the ability into its Ready State.

You then have roughly **4 seconds** to perform the matching action.

### Retro Mode

The mcMMO level display system used by Coppercore.

Retro Mode uses the classic larger mcMMO progression scale, commonly showing levels in the hundreds or thousands.

It does not mean progression takes ten times longer than Standard Mode.

### Salvage Anvil

The block used to Salvage equipment through mcMMO.

On Coppercore, the Salvage Anvil is a:

**Gold Block**

Salvaging destroys the original item.

### Skill

One of mcMMO's main progression categories.

Examples include:

* Mining
* Swords
* Alchemy
* Taming
* Repair

Coppercore currently has **19 configured mcMMO skills**.

### Sub-Skill

A specific ability or mechanic belonging to a larger Skill.

For example:

**Mining** is a Skill.

**Super Breaker**, **Double Drops** and **Blast Mining** are Mining Sub-Skills.

### Super Ability

A powerful timed ability which is manually prepared and activated.

Examples include:

* Super Breaker
* Tree Feller
* Green Terra
* Serrated Strikes
* Berserk

Most Super Abilities are prepared by right-clicking with the appropriate tool or weapon.

### XP Boost

A temporary multiplier applied to mcMMO XP earned through gameplay.

Coppercore uses:

* **2x mcMMO XP**
* **3x mcMMO XP**

Boosts can come from vouchers or direct Coin Shop purchases.

Use:

`/boost`

to check your active boost.

### XP Sharing

A Party feature which allows nearby Party members to share mcMMO XP.

On Coppercore, eligible members must be within **75 blocks** of the player earning the XP.

XP Sharing unlocks at **Party Level 10**.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Final reminder:** If you forget a command, `/mcmmo help`, `/party ?` and `/mr help` cover the three main command systems used throughout Coppercore's mcMMO setup.
