# ✦ ── Server Shop

The **Server Shop** is Coppercore’s built-in shop for buying and selling a selection of common items.

It is primarily intended as a **convenience and emergency option** - for example, if you urgently need a particular resource and cannot find another player selling it.

Whenever possible, players are encouraged to trade with each other through **Chest Shops** and the **Auction House** instead. Player-to-player trading keeps money circulating through the community and is an important part of Coppercore’s economy.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:** The Server Shop is not intended to provide every item in the game. Available items and prices are deliberately limited to help keep the economy balanced.

### Browsing the Server Shop

Use:

`/shop`

to open the main shop menu.

Items are organised into different categories, allowing you to browse the resources currently available for purchase or sale.

Select a category to view the items within it, then select an item to view its available buying or selling options.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Tip:** Server Shop prices may not be as favourable as prices offered by other players. Check Chest Shops or the Auction House first if you're looking for the best deal.
{% endhint %}

### Selling Items

Some items can also be sold directly back to the server for money.

However, **not every purchasable item will necessarily have a sell price**, and many items cannot be sold to the Server Shop at all.

This is intentional.

Unlimited server-side buying can inject large amounts of money into the economy, so Coppercore deliberately restricts which resources can be converted directly into currency.

Items that are particularly easy to farm, automate, exploit in large quantities, or otherwise unsuitable for server-side selling may have:

* no sell price at all
* a deliberately low sell price
* limited availability compared with other resources

### Using the Sell Menu

For a quicker way to sell multiple eligible items, use:

`/sellgui`

This opens a dedicated selling menu where you can place items you want to sell. The Sell GUI is specifically intended to make selling eligible shop items easier without manually searching through each shop category.

Only items that have an available Server Shop sell price can generate money through this menu.

**Important:** Check what you place into the Sell Menu before completing the sale, especially when selling large quantities.

### Why Can't I Sell This Item?

If an item cannot be sold through the Server Shop, this does **not** necessarily mean something is broken.

Coppercore intentionally does not provide server-side sell prices for every item.

This helps:

* prevent excessively easy money farms
* reduce inflation
* protect the value of player-made shops
* encourage trading between players
* give different resources meaningful economic value

If the Server Shop will not purchase something, you can still try selling it through a **Chest Shop**, listing it on the **Auction House**, or trading directly with another player.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Tip:** Just because the server won't buy something doesn't mean another player won't!
{% endhint %}

### Economy Balance

Server Shop prices and available items may be adjusted over time if something begins having an unhealthy effect on the economy.

This could include resources becoming significantly easier or harder to obtain, new farms being discovered, or particular items generating substantially more money than intended.

Any changes are made with the aim of keeping Coppercore’s economy useful and sustainable rather than allowing one resource to completely dominate it.
