# ✦ ── Custom Enchants

Coppercore uses **Custom Enchants** to add additional effects and abilities to selected equipment beyond Minecraft's normal enchantment system.

Custom Enchants are treated as **special rewards** rather than another standard progression system.

You may encounter them directly on custom items or as **Custom Enchantment Books** which can be applied to eligible equipment with staff assistance.

***

### What Are Custom Enchants?

Custom Enchants are additional enchantments provided through Coppercore's custom content systems.

They can add effects that are not normally available through vanilla Minecraft enchanting.

Unlike normal enchantments, Custom Enchants are not designed to completely replace or overshadow ordinary equipment progression.

Instead, they appear as occasional special rewards through systems such as:

* Crates
* Events
* Special rewards
* Selected custom items
* Custom Enchantment Books

Exactly which Custom Enchants are obtainable may change as Coppercore develops.

***

### A Curated Enchant Pool

The system behind Coppercore's Custom Enchants contains many different enchantments.

Coppercore does **not** make every available enchantment obtainable.

Instead, only a **curated selection** is used across the server.

This allows individual enchants to be introduced where they fit Coppercore's progression and balance rather than flooding the server with every enchant available through the plugin.

Some Custom Enchants may therefore exist within the underlying system without ever becoming obtainable by players.

***

### Custom Enchantment Books

Some Custom Enchants can be obtained as **Custom Enchantment Books**.

These books may appear as rewards from certain crates, events and other special server activities.

A Custom Enchantment Book represents a specific Custom Enchant which can be applied to an eligible item.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:** Custom Enchantment Books work differently from normal Minecraft Enchanted Books. Do not attempt to apply them through a normal Anvil.
{% endhint %}

***

### Applying Custom Enchantment Books

Custom Enchantment Books **cannot be applied using a normal Minecraft Anvil** on Coppercore.

If you obtain a Custom Enchantment Book and want to use it, you must **open a ticket in the Coppercore Discord server**.

When opening the ticket:

1. Keep the **Custom Enchantment Book**.
2. Have the item you want the enchant applied to available.
3. Tell staff which Custom Enchantment Book you want to use.
4. Tell staff which item you want it applied to.
5. A staff member will check that the item is eligible and apply the enchantment for you.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Important:** Custom Enchantment Books are intentionally disabled from Anvil use. Keep the book and open a Discord ticket when you're ready to use it.
{% endhint %}

Normal Minecraft Enchanted Books can still be applied through Anvils normally.

***

### Eligible Items

Custom Enchants can only be applied to items which are compatible with that enchantment.

For example, an enchant designed for a particular type of equipment cannot simply be applied to any unrelated item.

Staff will check compatibility before applying a Custom Enchantment Book.

If an enchant cannot be applied to the item you've chosen, staff will let you know so you can select another eligible item instead.

***

### Custom Items

Some Coppercore custom items may already have Custom Enchants applied when they are obtained.

These enchants are part of the item's design and do not require a separate Custom Enchantment Book or Discord ticket.

Custom items may appear through crates, events and other special server rewards.

Not every custom item will necessarily contain a Custom Enchant.

***

### Crates & Custom Enchants

Certain crate reward pools may contain:

* Custom Enchantment Books
* Custom items with Custom Enchants already applied

Which books or items are available depends on the current crate reward pool.

Because crate rewards rotate over time, a particular Custom Enchantment Book appearing in a crate does not guarantee that it will remain obtainable from that crate permanently.

Check the crates in-game to see their current rewards.

***

### Generated Loot

Custom Enchants do **not** naturally generate through normal Minecraft loot tables on Coppercore.

This means you will not randomly discover Custom Enchantment Books inside ordinary generated structures simply by exploring the world.

Custom Enchants are deliberately distributed through selected Coppercore reward systems instead.

Normal Minecraft enchanted items and Enchanted Books can still appear through vanilla generated loot as usual.

***

### Vanilla Enchantments

Custom Enchants exist **alongside** Minecraft's normal enchantment system.

You can still obtain and use vanilla enchantments through:

* Enchanting Tables
* Normal Enchanted Books
* Anvils
* Villager trading
* Generated loot
* Normal Minecraft progression

Custom Enchants simply provide additional special equipment options beyond those systems.

***

### Can I Use an Anvil?

For normal Minecraft Enchanted Books, **yes**.

For Coppercore Custom Enchantment Books, **no**.

Custom Enchantment Books must be applied through a **Discord ticket with staff assistance**.

If you're unsure whether a book is a normal Enchanted Book or a Custom Enchantment Book, check the item's name and description before attempting to use it.

***

### Why Isn't Every Custom Enchant Available?

Balance.

The underlying enchantment system contains far more enchants than Coppercore needs.

Rather than enabling everything at once, Custom Enchants are selected individually based on whether they suit the server's gameplay, progression and reward systems.

New Custom Enchants may be introduced over time as new content, crates and events are developed.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Final reminder:** Custom Enchants are special Coppercore rewards and do not naturally generate in normal loot. If you obtain a Custom Enchantment Book, keep it and open a Discord ticket when you want it applied to an eligible item.
