# ✦ ── Crates & Custom Enchants

Coppercore uses **Crates** and **Custom Enchants** as optional reward systems alongside normal survival progression.

Crates provide chances to earn useful items, currency, cosmetics and other server rewards, while Custom Enchants add special effects to selected equipment beyond normal Minecraft enchantments.

Neither system is required to enjoy or progress through the server.

### Crates

Coppercore currently has four main crates:

| Crate               | Tier   | General Rewards                              |
| ------------------- | ------ | -------------------------------------------- |
| **Vote Crate** | Voting | Useful rewards earned through regular voting |
| **Waxed Crate**     | Entry  | Common and lower-tier rewards                |
| **Weathered Crate** | Mid | Moderately rare and more valuable rewards |
| **Oxidized Crate** | High | The rarest and highest-tier crate rewards |

Crate reward pools are **not permanent**.

Items may be added, removed or rotated as Coppercore develops, allowing crates to stay relevant without permanently locking the server into one reward pool.

You can check the crate in-game to see its current contents.

### Vote Crate

**Vote Keys** are earned by voting for Coppercore.

Each successful vote gives:

**1 Vote Key**

With **5 voting sites available each day**, you can earn up to:

**5 Vote Keys per day**

Vote Keys are exclusive to the Vote Crate and are separate from the keys used for the other three crate tiers.

### Waxed, Weathered & Oxidized Crates

The other three crates form Coppercore's general reward tiers.

#### Waxed Crate

The **Waxed Crate** is the entry-level crate.

Its rewards are generally common or lower-tier, providing useful bonuses without containing the server's rarest rewards.

#### Weathered Crate

The **Weathered Crate** is the middle tier.

It contains more valuable and moderately rare rewards than the Waxed Crate while remaining balanced around normal survival gameplay.

#### Oxidized Crate

The **Oxidized Crate** is Coppercore's highest crate tier.

It contains the rarest rewards available through the crate system, but is **not locked behind real-money purchases**.

Oxidized Keys can still be obtained through normal server reward systems.

### Getting Crate Keys

Waxed, Weathered and Oxidized Keys are separate from Vote Keys and **cannot be earned through normal daily voting**.

They can be obtained through several methods, including:

* Purchasing them with earned **Copper Coins** through `/coinshop`
* Purchasing them through the **Coppercore Store**
* Server events and giveaways
* **Keyalls**, where crate keys are given to players server-wide
* Other progression and reward systems as Coppercore continues to develop

Purchasing crate keys through the store is completely optional.

All three crate tiers can also be accessed without spending real money through normal gameplay, server participation and community rewards.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** Key sources may expand over time. Crate reward pools can also rotate as Coppercore develops, so check the crates in-game for their current contents.
{% endhint %}

### Custom Enchants

Coppercore uses **Custom Enchants** to add additional effects and abilities to selected equipment.

They are treated as special rewards rather than a replacement for Minecraft's normal enchanting system.

Custom Enchants may appear on selected custom items or as Custom Enchantment Books from certain crates, events and other special rewards.

Custom Enchants do **not** naturally generate in normal Minecraft loot chests.

***

### A Curated Enchant Pool

Coppercore does not make every enchantment available from the underlying Custom Enchant system.

Instead, a **curated selection** is used for custom items, books and special rewards.

This allows individual Custom Enchants to be introduced where they make sense without flooding normal progression with additional enchantments.

***

### Applying Custom Enchantment Books

Custom Enchantment Books **cannot be applied using a normal Minecraft Anvil** on Coppercore.

If you obtain a Custom Enchantment Book and want it applied to an eligible item, you must **open a ticket in the Coppercore Discord server**.

A staff member will apply the enchantment for you.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:** Custom Enchantment Books are intentionally disabled from Anvil use. Keep the book in your inventory and open a Discord ticket when you're ready to use it.
{% endhint %}

Normal Minecraft Enchanted Books can still be applied through Anvils as usual.

***

### Normal Enchants Still Matter

Custom Enchants do not replace normal Minecraft enchanting.

Players can still use:

* Enchanting Tables
* Normal Enchanted Books
* Anvils
* Villager trading
* Exploration and generated loot

Custom Enchants simply provide additional special rewards alongside normal progression.
